Safety

Statewide Drilling is committed to providing a safe workplace for our employees and all other personnel who are associated with our day to day drilling operations.

A Safety Management Plan is prepared for all projects. This is a practical document which contains all relevant project information plus appropriate Risk Assessment, Job Safety Analysis and SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements).

Field operators are subject to a daily Pre-Start and Site Inspection sign off by the Driller. On extended programs scheduled Toolbox meetings as well as unscheduled Safety Site Audits will be conducted.

All drilling rigs, support vehicles and ancillary equipment are serviced in accordance with a comprehensive maintenance schedule within our workshop or by field service areas.

Statewide Drilling is a registered contractor with DAMSTRA – total workforce management system (TWMS).

To date, we have an excellent safety record with no notifiable injuries having occurred. Our aim is to keep it this way.

Environment

We are an environmentally aware organization which aims to operate efficiently whilst minimizing our footprint. This includes practical measures such as:

  • Minimizing the size of drill pads
  • Utilizing above ground mud system wherever possible
  • Close liaison with regulatory bodies such as DSE and Parks, as well as recycling wherever possible
